"How can I increase the max. amount of modes in SAP WebGUI?"
For the standard SAPGUI client, I know the parameter rdisp/max_alt_modes (Transaktion RZ11), but where can I set this value for WebGUI?

The ITS services are activated in SICF transaction. When i try to access the web gui URL http://systemname:8028/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui i get the login page. But once i provide the logon credentials in the popup, i donot get the SAP home page. Instead, the page gets struck and its almost plain except an appearance like the image has failed to load.
Any thoughts towards a solution for the issue???
Has anyone had experience with this error and know how to go about fixing it from occuring again?

I don't have that mutch experience in this context. So a short answer would be great.

We're using SAP ECC6.0, integrated ITS. I want to setup the ITS Mobile for our SAP Standard and SAP Custom RF Transactions. Please explain how to setup the ITS for enabling standard and custom RF transactions. If you have prior experience in doing this ITS Mobile. Please share your knowledge on this. Appreciate your help. Right answers will be rewarded. Step-by-Step instructions for setting up the ITS for the RF transactions will be helpful.

I am facing the strange issue in portal 7.4 implementing the transaction iView.
The user has requirement to display the SAVE button on transaction Iview which is based on SAP GUI for HTML.
So I added the ~Webgui_simple_toolbar parameter in Webgui parameters which now additionally show the BACK and CANCEL button.
Now as the BACK button is bundled with SAVE button and when user click on BACK button it took the user to initial screen where they can access the EASY ACCESS MENU.
In order to stop this we added the another GUI parameter ~singletransaction = 1
Now here the issue starts
In DEV box this is working fine but in QA box the application show the logoff message on every alternate click.

Kindly help on this issue.

when I download any report( eg ALV) in SAP GUI for HTML - Webgui, below error message is displayed
Cancellation by user
Message no. ALVHT161
and the file is not saved/downloaded
When I try to store any document in SAP GUI for HTML then below error message is displayed and file is not uploaded
The attachment has not been created
Message no. SGOS_MSG042
Not sure what is missing. Any suggestion is appreciated

Hi all,
I installed new ECC 6.0 EHP 6 IDES.
Following are the System Information:
OS: Windows Server 2008 R2
Database: Oracle 11.0.2.3
Component Version: EHP6 FOR SAP ERP 6.0
Kernel release: 721
Sup.Pkg lvl: 100
SAP Basis Component(SAP_BASIS): Release: 731, Level: 0002
When I try to test webgui service from sicf , I get error "Session not found".
Following are the step wise screen shots that I get:
Screen 1: Log on pop up.
Screen 2: Authentication
Screen 3: Error "Service cannot be reached"
Screen 4: After refresh I get following screen.
Screen 5: After executing any t-code, I get error "Session not found".
I performed all the steps mentioned in the note: 816973
Note 816973 - ITS 7.00 - preclarification and basic problem analysis
But I'm not able to solve this issue. Please help me. I am stuck.

We currently use handheld bar code reader devices on our shop floor with ITSmobile to transact warehouse transactions against ECC.
We want to use these devices with external suppliers running our warehouses, with access over the internet. However, our company security policy does not allow any user session from external to the company (over the general internet) to pass through the DMZ / Firewalls and actually execute on a back end system inside the firewalls. . Our ECC system is all within the firewall. Hence, the ITSmobile transactions are not within the required security policy when used that way, running on our ECC NW (ITS) and executing an ECC transaction / service.
I read about having a stand-alone ITS server (Netweaver), and wondered it we could put that on a separate instance in the DMZ, and then could it call the ECC system via an RFC type of communication (AGate)? That would be allowed if the user session ended in the DMZ.
Has anyone every done anything like that, separating ITS from the actual back-end system? Does it work that way?
Or does anyone have any other suggestions for how we might re-architect the solution to meet our security requirements, without having to develop a new application to run in the DMZ and interact with the handheld devices.

Hi,
I have some strange problems in my SRM production system.
Two times this system was hanged and still I am not able to find where is the problem.
When this system was hanged, all background jobs were frozen (all jobs were in in delay) and from web browser neither user was able to log on to this system. The temporary solution was to restart the SAP and all works fine later.
But today I had the same problem, and I don't know what can cause this issue.
What I think is because some parameters are not ok in our system (ICM related).
In sm21 I have a lot of
"HTTP/RFC session has been deleted following timeout"
messages
and this error lead me that the problems are because the number of HTTP sessions which remain unclosed (user close the browser or the network between browser and server is lost) which is too large and these could lead to block the new requests.
Also I found the note 1240156 which says to activate the paramater rdisp/disable_syslog_for_plugin_timeout = true, but I am not sure that this will solve our problems.
The value of rdisp/plugin_auto_logout parameter is 1800, and I think is too large (so this means that the user-sesion will be deleted only after these 1800 seconds will be expired).
Could you please give me some advises?

I am searching the link for required browser (IE11) setting for SAP web GUI . Can any body provide the link for the same.
I am facing problem at one machine where SAP web gui does not display. It is displayed blank. But on other machine it is displaying perfectly with similar platform (OS , browser combination). ie. I referred Web Browser Platform Support from SAP PAM. As per this , there is no support from Windows7 64 bit with IE11. But is working at this combination on one machine but not on other.
On Windows, IE can be launched in two ways, either from C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe or from C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe . Does this make any difference with respect to SAP Web GUI browser compatibility.

We are (not successfuly) trying to run a standard transaction (HR - PA30) from a customer webdynpro application. We tried all the combinations of webgui_simple_toolbar, but none of them displayed the save icon or button.
E.g. note 2091249 states settings of the value 2048, which should disable the command field (transaction number). This does not work too.
The save icon is not displayed even if the parameter webgui_simple_toolbar is set to zero (0). I believe, that once the webgui is used as it is and if it's value is overriden in the link, it is ignored what is placed in webgui itself. I'm not sure, whether this is true.

Dear experts, the company I work for is currently moving to HANA platform in the cloud (HEC). Moreover we will naturally switch from ECC 6.0 to the S/4 HANA soon. According to the S/4 HANA 1511 release notes the ITS technology is considered as old/obsolete. We nowadays have a few applications developed using such feature and the problem is that I did not find any additional documentation about such obsolescence and what should be the replacement technology in this case. I really appreciate your inputs on this subject matter. Thanks!
As soon as I log into webgui, i get the message "The session terminated due to inactivity". I have set the http and https timeout to a high value, but it's still timing out immediately. I have recycled the system, any ideals.
